Product description

Hydroxypropyl methacrylate is a chemical substance with the chemical formula C7H12O3.

Chemical properties: colorless liquid. The boiling point is 96°C (1.33kPa), 57°C (66.7Pa), the relative density is 1.066 (25/16°C), the refractive index is 1.4470, and the flash point is 96°C. Soluble in general organic solvents, but still soluble in water.

Product Usage

This product is copolymerized with other acrylic monomers to prepare acrylic resins containing active hydroxyl groups. With melamine formaldehyde resin, diisocyanate, epoxy resin, etc., a two-component coating is prepared. This product is also used as an adhesive for synthetic textiles and as an additive for decontamination lubricants.

It is used as reactive diluent and cross-linking agent in radiation curing system, also as resin cross-linking agent, plastic and rubber modifier.

Acrylic resins, acrylic paints, textile adhesives and decontamination lubricant additives.

It can be used to produce thermosetting coatings, adhesives, fiber treatment agents and synthetic resin copolymer modifiers. It can also be used as one of the main crosslinkable functional group monomers used in acrylic resins.
